Pretty Boy Problems is the sequel to Heard it All Before. This is the story of Roman's brother Beau - that too-handsome-for-his-own-good scoundrel. What happens when he meets his match? What do you think of the cover?

It's an awesome day when you get this note from your editor: Sweet Little Lies has been nominated for an award sponsored by the American Library Association’s The Reading List. In January 2012, a winner and 4 short list titles will be announced at ALA’s Midwinter conference. Librarians use the winning title and the short list for a Readers’ Advisory, a go-to list when someone says that they want a “good” book to read in that particular genre. Some libraries also use the lists to build displays.
Woo-hoo! It's definitely gratifying when others enjoy your work. "Grown Man Steven" is the gift that keeps on giving!

Sweet Little Lies is in stores and online today! Go here to read about it. And here to scoop it up. Woo-hoo It's a little crazy. I'm officially a published author with multiple titles. Cray-zee! At any rate, first tour stop will be Charlotte in March. But prior to that, I'm going to resurrect the Black 'n Bougie Radio Network and do some live chats at various blogs including over at Reads4Pleasure's spot. Stay tuned. And go shopping!

I love good, smart reviews. (Okay, that sounds like I only think reviews are smart if they're good!) Anyway... good reviews not only validate my work but give me excellent insight into how others take my work. Plus reviewers have a way of boiling down a book to a great snapshot. The first review for Sweet Little Lies came from Publishers' Weekly. Check out what they had to say: A younger man challenges a driven San Francisco career woman's heart and mind in Grant's sassy "he said/she said" romance. Cynical journalist Christina Brinsley's dismal track record with men includes three broken engagements. Steven Williams, a sexy dreadlocked delivery man, tries and fails to convince her that he's trustworthy. After witnessing Christina's bitter breakup with her latest boyfriend, Steven reconnects with her, and they have a fling before he begins grad school at Columbia. Five years later, Steven's a transportation science professor and Christina's a Valiant News Network special correspondent investigating the misuse of funds earmarked for Project Mercury, a transportation research project connected to Steven's foundation, Chi-Wind. Grant (Heard It All Before ) smoothly explores their passionate reunion as their burgeoning trust and affection are put to a serious test. (Feb.) Now come on, doesn't that sound like something you simply MUST read? Available for pre-order now.

Okay, I'm officially terrible about updating this website. If you want to find out what's going on with me... check out my facebook page or my Black 'n Bougie blog. I have not one but two twitter accounts. My Black 'n Bougie (BnB) account @OneChele and my professional writer account @MGrantAuthor. Find me and say hi! In the meantime, who read Heard It All Before? We're going to start having some discussions about it. I understand people want to get behind some of the characters and figure out why they do what they so. My next book, Sweet Little Lies is ready for pre-order online and in bookstores. Hope you love it!
